This equine science minor, administered by the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, provides students with the ability to gain knowledge in the equine industry. The course work provides an understanding of the scope of the equine industry and its economic value to society; principles involved in the nutrition and production of equine animals; and insight into equine behavior and the ability to humanely manage equine animals for human benefit as well as for the animals’ well-being.
