The College of Arts and Sciences has 43 merit and need-based scholarships for undergraduates seeking degrees in the Arts and Sciences attending Columbus campus. Most do not require an application to be considered.

Aida Cannarsa Snow Endowment Fund Scholarships
Eligibility and deadlines
This fund provides tuition scholarships to undergraduate students who are pursuing a career in publishing or publication. Scholarships are need-based. Applicants must have a current year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with Student Financial Aid.
Application Deadline EXTENDED for 2026-2027: April 12, 2026
Awards have been finalized for 2025-2026. The application deadline applies to funding for the 2026-2027 academic year.
How to apply
Step 1: Documents
As part of the application you will be asked to upload the following document as a .pdf file.
Personal statement
Personal statement of 500 words or less that describes your interests, experiences and goals related to your current studies. This may include information on courses that you have taken that are related to publishing and publication, as well as related experiences such as internships, research, employment, leadership, involvement in a student or professional organization and service opportunities undertaken while at Ohio State. In addition to describing your coursework and experiences while at Ohio State that are related to a career in publishing or publication, describe your plans for a future career in publishing or publication.
Format to save your personal statement
- The following must appear in the upper right-hand corner of your personal statement: Last Name, First Name and OSU ID number
- Save your personal statement as a PDF document in the following format: Last Name_#_Snow Funding Application.pdf
(For example: Jane Buckeye.123 would save as Buckeye_123_Snow Funding Application.pdf)
Step 2: Scholarship and Grant Information
You will be asked to enter the name and annual value of all merit and/or need-based scholarships and grants that you currently receive. This includes scholarships and grants awarded by the college, the university or an external organization, as well as any state and federal grants such as a Pell grant or state grant. Do not include any loans.
Step 3: Submit an Application
Before submitting your application, review all information entered to ensure there are no errors. Once you submit your application, you will not be able to make any changes.
