Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Minors

The Social Justice Advocacy and Public Policy minor is administered through the Glenn College of Public Affairs. It has three goals, which provide an interdisciplinary set of knowledge and skills. Upon successful completion of this minor, students will be able to:

  1. Articulate the theories and practices and understand the definitions, concepts, and historical context, within public affairs, of diverse populations and their intersectionality.
  2. Understand the civic, political, and social arrangements with the ability to facilitate and prevent achievement of social justice.
  3. Have advanced knowledge about a specific population or social issue, preparing them to pursue social justice in that context.
