Youth Development (FAES)

Minors

This interdisciplinary minor, administered as a partnership between the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and the College of Social Work, is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills about youth development principles, processes, and practices. Students with career interests in youth services and education are ideal candidates. This minor will prepare students for careers in schools and out-of-school organizations such Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, FFA, 4-H, youth sport organizations and employers such as parks, recreation centers and after-school programs. This minor would also be valuable for students pursuing careers serving youth populations, from hospitals to residential treatment centers. (YTHDEV-MN)
