Celebrate National Astronomy Month with the Arne Slettebak Planetarium! Join us to discover wonders of the night sky with the help of our Department of Astronomy faculty and students. During this event, you’ll have the opportunity to view a planetarium show, a rooftop sunset and, through the lens of a telescope, our solar system and beyond. This event will fill up fast so mark your calendars for Mar. 25 when registration opens.

  • 9:00 p.m. Telescope observations on the lawn and observation deck

This event requires clear skies. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled. Registered attendees will be informed of any rain dates via email. 

Event info

  • This event is family friendly
  • Self-parking is availabe in the Arps or Tuttle garages
  • There is no elevator to the Smith Lab Observation Deck, but all guests are invited to join planetarium shows and ground level observations via telescope
  • $5 admission supports the Astronomy Innovation Fund
