The celebration of "A Love Letter to this Bridge Called My Back" will commemorate the creation and launch of this seminal text by hearing from its authors and artists in a curated space at Urban Arts Space.

In 1981, Chicana feminist intellectuals Cherríe Moraga and Gloria Anzaldúa published what would become a touchstone work for generations of feminist women of color—the seminal This Bridge Called My Back: Writings by Radical Women of Color. To celebrate and honor this important work, editors gloria j. wilson, Joni B. Acuff, and Amelia M. Kraehe offer new generations "A Love Letter to This Bridge Called My Back." In addition to this celebration, there will be a two-week exhibition curated by the Ohio State Arts Administration, Education, and Policy Department Chair, Dr. Joni B. Acuff, Associate Professor Dr. gloria j. wilson, and PhD student Lynn Robinson showcasing works of art from artists included in the text "A Love Letter to This Bridge Called My Back." The exhibition will also include excerpts from the book itself, which ranges from poems to think pieces.
