This minor, administered through the School of Music and the Department of African American and African Studies, is designed to equip students with a deep understanding of Hip Hop's artistic, historical, political, and social dimensions through interdisciplinary coursework and practice-based learning. This minor creates an academic space for students to critically explore and engage with Hip Hop culture while gaining transferable skills in creative production, historical analysis, community engagement, and critical theory.
