The sport industry minor is administered through the College of Education and Human Ecology. The industry of sport remains embedded in all facets of society and is closely intertwined with business, communication, and other related fields. The sport industry minor’s two required courses prepare students to turn their passion for sport into professional opportunity by developing management, leadership, organizational theory, consumer behavior and career readiness skills. The additional courses provide opportunities for students to complement their major with sport-focused courses that have an emphasis on legal aspects of sport, college sport trends, marketing, branding and/or licensing.
