Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Dance PhD Student Receives Award

Michael Morris, doctoral student in dance, has been awarded the Writing Across the Curriculum Outstanding Writing Instruction Award from Ohio State.

Morris also has been published in “Queer Ecologies: A Roundtable Discussion” in the European Journal of Ecopsychology and had a chapter, “Orientations as Materializations: The Love Art Laboratory’s Eco-Sexual Blue Wedding to the Sea,” included in the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Dance and Theatre.

In the meantime, he has been performing as a principal dancer in Viva Valezz and the Velvet Hearts, a premiere queer burlesque company in Columbus.
